Busy Times

hello folks, please excuse my lack of posting but I have been extremely busy with work and some play as well (which I will tell you all about tomorrow when I have more time)
I have also been away on a short break and most certainly enjoyed it...where there was almost as much play (spanking play that is!) as there was sun...hurrah! anyway I am back now and will be posting regularly as normal

Hello Leia

I see you use "tomorrow" in the Balinese sense. When Balinese have NO intention of doing something, they say "Yes yes tomorrow."

Oh well...

Thank you Adrian....just the sort of comment I need in the last month of my PhD...I am sorry I did not manage it on Friday, but I was rather busy fixing a machine I need to use of the next 3 weeks. Anyway it is up now, so you should be happy I hope? I am not...I am as usual under plenty of pressure. I just hope it is all worth it.

About PhDs... Rajneesh, who had one, used to call them Full of Dung!

As someone who walked away from the whole academic thing, I like that (when journalists interview me, I refer to ethnomusicologists as ethnoids... people who talk incessantly about music rather than shutting up & enjoying it).

I'm shocked. You made it all the way to Vegas & didn't hop on a Hawaiian Airlines jet to misbehave on Maui? That's reprehensible!

Well there's a charming example of internet manners - insulting the main activity of our host. Grrrr

Let's show some respect for Leia's non-scene life please.

Hello John

It wasn't meant that way. Leia's in the Sciences, I'm In Arts, and there's a world of difference between the two, academically. People in the Sciences actually have to do something that can be recognised as an advance of knowledge. In the Arts, all postgraduate students learn is how to talk BS! In the Arts, if you want to contribute something worthwhile, you go to conservatory or art school to learn the craft of your field. Then, if you feel more education is needed, you seek out someone in your field whom you admire, and study with that individual. Unfortunately, PhDs in the arts attract those who just want to TALK about the arts, rather than actually making something. Hence my disdain.
